Bill Richardson

Despite his controversial táctics and persona, Lopez tijerina raised the profile of the land grant issue in northern New Mexico and the need to address it to bring land equity to many families throughout el Norte. While I never met him nor dealt with him he remains one of the most colorful characters in the states history.
