Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates and former Democratic presidential candidate and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson have joined the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition’s national advisory council. The diverse coalition consists of hundreds of businesses, nonprofits and academics that “support a smart power approach of elevating development and diplomacy alongside defense in order to build a better, safer world.”
