Governor Bill Richardson to be Featured Speaker at The Inter-American Dialogue on October 6th in Washington DC

The Inter-American Dialogue is very pleased to join with the Vidanta Foundation to host a dinner reception featuring Bill Richardson, former Governor of New Mexico and special OAS envoy at 7 pm on October 6, 2011 at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (1779 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC).

Governor Richardson's speech will focus on democracy challenges in the Americas, the state of hemispheric relations, and US policy towards the region. Governor Richardson’s remarks will be followed by a lively exchange with participants.

This event is part of a two-day workshop with leading scholars from Latin America and the United Sates who will be discussing democratic governance issues facing the region, in preparation of an upcoming volume.
