Governor Bill Richardson to Attend 2012 Democratic National Convention
CHARLOTTE, NC – Former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson will attend the 2012 Democratic National Convention next week in Charlotte, North Carolina. Richardson, a 2008 Democratic Presidential Candidate, was Chair of the 2004 Democratic National Convention held in Boston. The Governor will also be doing interviews with U.S. and international media outlets.
For planning purposes, Governor Richardson will speak at the following select events:
Tuesday, September 4th
Governor Bill Richardson to cohost a meeting on U.S.-Mexico relations at the Democratic National Convention with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, from 9:30 – 11:00 AM. The event is organized by The Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands and the Woodrow Wilson Center and will be held at the Bernardin Restauran at 435 South Tryon Street
Wednesday, September 5th
Governor Richardson will join NDN on Wednesday September 5th from 09:00-11:00am for a forum on immigration and border issues. The event will be held at the Duke Energy Theater at 345 North College Street.
Later that morning, Richardson will host a policy lunch at the Politico Hub at the DNCC located at 222 South Church Street. The focus of the event is energy’s role in the 2012 election and in the coming years. Politico’s policy luncheon will begin at 12:15pm.
